PISA RACECOURSE  
Ippodromo San Rossore racecourse is situated near Pisa in the Tuscany region of Italy. The course has a circumference of just over 1600 metres with a run-in of just over 500 metres. The inaugural meeting was held at the racecourse in 1854 and its principal race, the Premio Pisa, was first contested in 1885. The race is run each March over 1500 metres and is for 3 year olds, often being used as a trial for the Italian Derby.
   As well as the Premio Pisa the course hosts 4 other Listed races. The Premio Enrico Camici is run each February over 1200 metres for 4 year olds and upwards. The Premio Reione Toscana is run over 2200 metres in March and is for 4 year olds and upwards.  
Later in the year, in December the Criterium di Pisa is for 2 year olds over 1500 metres, whilst the Premio Andred is over 2200 metres for 3 year old fillies and mares. In 2013 the Criterium di Pisa was won by the M.Narduzzi ridden Hoovergetthekeys beat Salford Secret and Guizzo Vicente.
